Rare Rustic Stoneware Harvest Jug with Cobalt Decoration, Midwestern origin, late 19th century, dome-shaped vessel with knob-shaped finial, fitted with a narrow spout on one side and a wide spout on the opposite side. Surface of harvest jug is incised to resemble tree bark. Unusual incised stoneware handle modeled to resemble cut logs holding a single longer logs. Surface decorated with spattered cobalt slip. Highly unusual and creative form. Two small spout chips. Otherwise mint condition. H 10 3/8".
